Software/BIOS - 3
Her vil jeg ikke give mere end 3.
MSI A75MA-G55 is the first motherboard we have looked at for the new AMD platform LIano. Generally it seems to work pretty well, but there is not much that can go wrong, because the features are minimal. What separates the motherboard itself from other is probably the feature that allows you to charger your phone while the system is off.
Innovation/Technology - 4
The motherboard uses AMD newest platform, LIano, but there is still something which is missing. There is not many features on this board, but there is the opportunity to let your phone be charged via a USB port when the system is off.
Bundle/Accessories - 4
The bundle is quite good. There is what you need, and a bit more. The cable adapters are very good to have, and the manual is generally very good.
Design/Layout - 4
The motherboard is not designed to have the huge coolers on it. My Danamics LMX cooler is one of the biggest, and it was very hard to get it to fit, and the RAM modules should be installed before the cooler, else it was not possible to install them. The SATA ports are located very good and the general layout seems to be fine.
Software/BIOS - 3
Here I will not give more than 3. The reason is that the software included is pretty slim. The BIOS works reasonably competent, but it still needs a bit tweaking. The mouse is lacking when moving it and that makes you not want to use it, and there is no possibility of overclocking, yet. But those little things will definitely get fixed and then this board will be really good.
Performance - 4
Since we have not really tested other motherboards for the LIano platform I can not really write anything about the performance, so the given points is for the platform itself, and here it seems to be quite good. The performance can not compete 100% with Sandy Bridge, but the price i also quite a bit below Intels platform.
Price - 4
The price is set at around 75 euros, which is about 550kr. This price seems very reasonable. Overall, the CPU and motherboard can be purchased for around 1250kr. and that includes a graphics chip, so in general this surely is a cheap platform with plenty of performance for the money.
