Konklusion

Selve earbudsene virker lidt klodsede, men sidder godt i øregangen.

Software - 1
Skuffende.

UK summary

Outlier is a well-founded product in terms of hardware which has given good results. Outlier's slightly bass oriented sound image time and time again provides good music experiences and also sounds good in a phone conversation. The materials seem well-chosen and solidly built. In my ears, though, they seemed a bit like some plugs, but they fit nicely. It is a shame that the software pulls the whole experience down so much that I would recommend staying away from it. It's a waste of space on the phone. The equalizer does nothing no matter how much I try to adjust the sound. Super XFi requires both account with email creation and pictures of ears and face. The pictures of the ears may be hard to take and the software did not recognize mine. You almost have to ask someone else to take the picture for you. Imagine the conversation: "Can you take a picture of my ears, please?", "Why?", "Well, it's for the app so I can get better sound in my earbuds". It mostly seems as if Creative has been a little too creative and probably wanted to build a technically smart product, but they forgot to inlcude the human into the equation. I would really like to know how those images can be used as the sound comes out of the earbuds outside the camera's field of view.

Innovation/Technology - 2
I do not see anything I havn't seen before and the Super XFi does not seem quite as smart as it sounded. The touch buttons do not always seem completely accurate and misunderstood me sometimes. If you stand with the earbuds in your hand, they start to find bluetooth devices. Touch buttons are good for many things, but did not think it works quite well here.

Bundle/Accessories - 3
There are eartips in all sizes, a charger cable, and a case. So everything that can be expected.

Design/Layout - 3
The case works like a drawer and I think it is faster to operate than classic designs with a lid to be opened. The earbuds themselves seem a bit clumsy, but fit well in the ear canal.

Software - 1
Disappointing. If I could give the grade 0, I would have done it.

Performance - 4
The sound is rich and gives a good sound image. However, it tilts a bit towards a heavier bass.

Price - 5
At the time of writing, Creative has them on sale for € 69.99, equivalent to DKK 520. Good sound and plenty of battery life for the money. Normal price is € 84.99 or DKK 633.
