Overall, the VIA KT266 is the fastest chipset currently available for the Athlon. It is a cheap, feature rich, and fast chipset, and is probably the most attractive solution for desktop users. Workstation users might want to consider an alternative as the latest drivers from VIA are not working very well with OpenGL applications under Windows 2000.Læs testen her: http://www.aceshardware.com/Spades/read.php?article_id=25000214
In fact, many workstation users will likely prefer to wait for the AMD760MP chipset unless VIA can sort out the driver problems soon. Nevertheless, this is a chipset with great potential, as it offers better AGP performance and higher memory bandwidth for a good price. As a DDR chipset, it is also more future-proof than its brother, the VIAKT133A.
With RAID, PC-to-PC (easy networking), and many other features, the MSI K7T266 Pro offers a great price/performance ratio with plenty of features to boot. This is the best all-around DDR solution for desktop users we've seen so far.
