Based on Intel 850 Chipset, GA-8ITXE is designed to create a revolutionary architecture for Pentium 4 platform. Designed in Intel® Hub Architecture, 8ITXE can Increase I/O bus bandwidth allowing better concurrency for media-rich applications and multitasking. Dual channel Rambus DRAMs enpower 8ITXE to deliver 3.2 GB/s of memory bandwidth to the processor that balances platform support and provides the memory bandwidth necessary to extract full performance from the Intel Pentium 4 processor.Four RIMM memory slots provide up to 2GB Rambus DRAM size .ICH2, the Intel latest integrated peripheral controller, delivers twice the I/O bandwidth over traditional bridge architecture and provides dedicated data paths to fully optimize the additional bandwidth.
