Today, Intel has launched their fastest Pentium 4 processors to date which are the Pentium 4 2.8Ghz and 2.66Ghz.
Intel has decided to launch their fastest processor ahead of schedule which is originally slated to be released in the forth quarter of this year to boost the sales of their Pentium 4 processors. Intel will be offering the Pentium 4 2.8Ghz at the price of $637 and the next fastest Pentium 4 2.66Ghz at $562 while Pentium 4 2.53Ghz will take a hefty price cut from $637 to $433. Both the new processors are built on the Northwood core based on 0.13 micron technology and possess 512KB of L2 cache.
