Vr-zone skriver bl.a :

VIA has introduced their KT400 chipset just last month where many hardware enthusiasts
have been awaiting patiently for the boards based on that chipset to arrive in
the market. The main attractions for the KT400 chipset are the much touted AGP 8X
interface and the DDR400 support that of course theoretically should improve
system performance. However, the true hard fact is that even having an AGP 8X card
on an AGP 8X enabled board doesn't help much in improving performance for now therefore
manufacturers have to rely on the DDR400 support to improve performance.
Unfortunately, the board manufacturers are faced with another problem that VIA and
SiS have announced not to include DDR400 support in their chipsets much due to the
inconsistencies of the different brands of DDR400 SDRAM in the market. Anyway it doesn't
stop manufacturers from adding DDR400 support into their KT400 boards and include new features
like Serial ATA interface onto their boards to make their boards more attractive to consumers.
