ASUS Announces 4X DVD-R/RW Drive (DRW-0402P)

its latest optical storage drive ? the ASUS DRW-0402P. Adopting DVD-R/RW (read as DVD ?dash? R/RW), DVD formats

recognized by the DVD Forum, the DRW-0402P supports 4X DVD-Write/2X DVD-ReWrite/12X DVD-ROM/16X CD-Write/8X

CD-ReWrite/32X CD-ROM. Furthermore, with unique ASUS features, the all-new drive can prevent buffer underrun

problems, thereby eliminating the creation of CD and DVD coasters. The all-new DRW-0402P is the perfect drive that makes

Besides supporting maximum 4X DVD-R (roughly equivalent to 36X CD-R) and 2X DVD-RW write speed, the DRW-0402P

is capable of high-speed CD-R writing at 16X and CD-RW at 8X, as well as read speed up to 12X for DVD disks (single

layer) and 32X for CD-R/RW disks and CD-audio extraction. DVD-R/RW media written by the DRW-0402P is compatible

with most of the existing DVD players and DVD-ROM drives, offering users a high degree of flexibility.



The ASUS DRW-0402P also comes with an important feature - an air vent. The air vent in the back of the drive

dissipates hot air to maintain optimal drive temperature, ensuring absolute stability and excellent readability.
