Der vil blive tale om en budget udgave af AMD Barton kernen, idet den vil være baseret på Barton kernen. Der vil dog sikkert være tale om den halve cache af de 512 som Barton er udstyret med.
Rumors have been circulating that AMD will soon release a "Thorton" core Athlon XP processor. It's been suggested that Thorton will use the same core as AMD's high-end Barton, but will only have half of Barton's 512KB L2 cache.
