Press Release - MCP600 12V DC pump. We are proud and excited to introduce our new MCP600? pump. This is the first industrial 12 Volts DC pump to be offered to the computer industry.
The pump is completely plug-and-play, and connects directly to the computer power-supply. It does not require the use of a relay switch, nor any modifications to the computer case. When coupled with our new fill-and-bleed kit (see separate press release), this pump will constitute the heart of our upcoming revisions to the H20 8500 and 22500 series liquid cooling kits.
Summary of benefits:
1/ Industrial reliability: can now be recommended with full confidence for any MP server, and high-end workstations.
2/ Superior performance to ANY aquarium pump we have tested to this date (MCP300, Eheim 1250, Eheim 1048, Hydor L30). The high pressure capability of the MCP600? is particularly well adapted to the proliferation of daisy-chained liquid cooling devices in a single circuit: Multiple Processors, Chipset, Graphics, and Hard Drives.
3/ Superior 12 Volts DC convenience
Here are the specs, and a detailed list of features & benefits
12 VDC powered using standard Molex 4 pin connectors connecting directly to computer power supply
Small size: slightly bigger than the MCP300, but smaller body than the Eheim 1048 or Hydor L30. - Body size, LHW: 3.25"x3"x2.6
Extremely efficient motor design drawing only 7 Watts.
Maintenance free brushless motor, with 2 year warranty *
Aluminum housing dissipates motor heat, reducing heat transfer to the coolant to negligible amount.
Closed impeller design for exceptional pressure performance, 2.2m TDH
Impeller on a ceramic shaft supported on both ends with a thrust pad
½? barb pump connections.
Pump housing can be rotated in 90° increments to optimize hose layout
Low noise, 33dBA @ 2? in a quiet room
Retention mechanism to case: features a pre-installed foam insulator pad to decouple the pump from the computer case, thus reducing noise and virations. The pad features 3M sticky peel-off back to anchor the pump to the case. Velcro straps and corner braces are also included for a permanent retention mechanism.
*Warranty voided if pump is run dry.
The new MCP600 has been comparatively tested against the MCP300 in identical actual watercooling systems. In a 3/8? ID system, including a fill-and-bleed kit, (1/2? OD with push-in connections) the flow rate was 5.2 lpm with the MCP600 vs. 4.5lpm with the MCP300.
MSRP of $79.95 each
