Chipsalget steg med 25,7 % i november 2003 i forhold til november 2002. Tallet kommer fra The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), og de gemmer på en stigning på 3,5 % i processor-salg, og en 4 % stigning i salg af DRAM.
George Scalise, president of the trade association, said that rising PC sales helped the figures, with DRAM sales up four per cent, and CPU sales up 3.5%.
Sales of flash memory, however, rose by 11.2%.
