TheatriX PCI TV Tuner is latest addition to add-in card range





Sapphire Technology Limited , the leading supplier of ATI-powered graphics solutions, has just introduced an exciting new addition to its family of PC add-in card products ? a PCI TV Tuner card with remote control.

The Sapphire THEATRIX is based on the latest ATI Theater 550 Pro on-chip TV controller and together with the Sapphire Universal remote control allows users to watch TV or listen to radio on the PC as well as to capture images from a camcorder.

The Sapphire THEATRIX TV-tuner comes equipped with an extensive suite of tuner software, video capture and video-enhancing technologies. Boasting full hardware MPEG-2 video encode support with noise reduction as well as an MPEG Audio Encoder with sampling rates of up 48khz and Dolby Digital 2 channel encoding, the ATI Theater 550 Pro core of the Sapphire THEATRIX caters for a broad range of digital demands.

The feature set of the Sapphire THEATRIX is unrivalled in its class. The TV tuner has MPEG-2 Video Encode capability and uses 3D Comb Filtering for unsurpassed Picture Quality. It has an Integrated FM Radio. It supports SVIDEO and Composite Video Input via an accessible Video / Audio in Cable block. All features can be controlled via the Sapphire Universal Remote Control Unit. Bundled software includes PowerCinema3 from Cyberlink, enabling users to: Watch TV, DVD Movies, Video Clips, listen to FM Radio or Make DVD?s.

The Sapphire THEATRIX can be used in any PC system with a free PCI slot. Drivers are supplied for operation under Windows 9x / NT / 2000 and XP.
