ASUS Introduces P4S333 SiS 645 Based Pentium 4 Motherboard
Enables breakthrough performance and value for socket 478 Pentium 4 processors
Taipei, Taiwan, November 12, 2001 ? The world?s leading motherboard manufacturer, ASUS, today announced the release of the P4S333 socket 478 Pentium 4 motherboard. The P4S333 incorporates the SiS 645 chipset to latest Pentium 4 processors, as well as high-bandwidth DDR (double data rate) memory up to 333MHz. The result is a motherboard that delivers breakthrough performance and value for entry-level or mainstream Pentium 4 systems.
The P4S333 is designed for maximum value. Taking advantage of the SiS 645?s advanced chipset architecture, the P4S333 motherboard pushes the performance of up to 3GB high-speed DDR200/266/333 SDRAM at a peak bandwidth of 2.7GB/ second, while incorporating robust onboard features. Experience superior 6-channel 3D surround audio with the C-Media CMI8738 audio controller. This impressive chip eliminates the cost of an additional soundcards and adds dynamic realism to your favorite games, MP3s or DVDs. The optional SPDIF-in/out module allows easy connection to high-end external speaker systems, making your computer an all-around entertainment powerhouse. An optional SiS LAN controller also provides fast connectivity to networks and broadband, further enhancing performance in work and online games.
Comprehensive overclocking options are available to unleash the performance of Pentium 4 processors. DIP switches and ASUS JumperFree? mode allow users to adjust overclocking settings either manually or from the convenience of the BIOS screen. 1MHz incremental settings push system-bus settings up tov200MHz (quad-pumped to 800MHz), while CPU voltage adjustments in 0.05V intervals over default provide additional performance configurability. Memory voltage is also adjustable.
