ASUS WILL RELEASE new motherboards in the next few days.
The KT400 Via chipset based board is called A7V8X, featuring AGP 8X. It also supports DDR 400 (PC 3200) and other memory architectures like the DDR 333 and lesser speeds.

The document claims full DDR 400 support, suggesting that end users should use a maximum of one DDR 400 module or two of DDR 333 memory.

There are three memory slots.

This board also has an AGP 8X slot, two UDMA 133 channels, IDE Raid, six USB 2.0 ports, three Firewire, two Serial ATA ports, six PCI and a Realtek six channel audio card onboard. As an option you can get BroadCom 10/100 and 1000 Mbps Ethernet Controller card.

One nice thing about this board is that it supports 802.11a, 802.11b and Bluetooth standards, for wireless networking.

The second board, the P4S8X uses the SIS 648 chipset, with support for SIS 963 south bridge and 400 and 533 MHz FSB for Northwood and Willamette processors. It also has AGP 8X support. You can plug three memory modules in this board, which supports PC2700 and older memory types.

The board comes with UDMA 133 controllers, six USB 2.0, two FireWire ports, two serial ATA ports and one Parallel ATA port, six channel C-Media sound, SPDIF and an integrated Realtek 10/100 network card.

No details of pricing were available at press time.
