HardOCP kigger lidt på hvor stor forskellen er fra AGPx4 til AGPx8 hos GeForce4 Ti4200. Dette kort bruger desuden 3.3ns Samsung RAM så det burd sagtens kunne komme til at rende lidt stærkere.

The RAM being used is Samsung 3.3ns BGA RAM chips. The theoretical max speed is 303MHz (606MHz DDR). I was able to overclock them up to a stable 327.5MHz (655MHz DDR). This overclock puts this card right at the performance level of a default Ti 4600.
So, where are we at? Well, overall the differences in performance between AGP 4X and AGP 8X were roughly a few frames at most faster. Now, I do have to say it actually was faster in each resolution by having AGP 8X. It wasn?t noticeably faster by any means, but it was "benchmarkably" faster, which is certainly what some folks want. Obviously with current games on the Ti 4200, you won't notice any benefit in moving to AGP 8X at all. AGP 8X on the Ti 4200 in current games is nothing but a marketing feature. Where you might expect AGP 8X to increase performance, it does not on the Ti 4200. The Ti 4200 GPU has too many other limitations at the higher resolutions that's keeping AGP 8X from being needed at this point.
