"It has been over four months since I wrote my previous SwifTech vs. DangerDen waterblock article. You can see the results of the previous battle here. In the previous review, the final results were surprising because the MCW462-UH and the Maze3 waterblocks, two very different waterblock designs, performed amazingly similar in my test bed, yielding nearly identical temperature results. I've since encountered similar findings in other reviews of these two waterblocks on the web, although usually the SwifTech block does hold a small edge. As both of these companies are on the cutting edge of CPU cooling and overclocking technology, it shouldn't be any surprise to learn that both SwifTech and DangerDen offer TEC versions of these great waterblocks. Adding a TEC, or peltier element as they are otherwise known, to a waterblock can greatly reduce CPU temperatures with a relatively simple installation. It's sort of like adding a Nitro-booster to a Chevy. In fact, I was able to install each the DangerDen Maze3-1 and the SwifTech MCW462-UHT in well under an hour."
