EPoX Canterwood 875P product: EP-4PCA3+

EPoX offers the highest level of performance for the desktop through EP-4PCA3+ mainboard, based on Intel's new generation 875P chipset

[TAIPEI, April 14, 2003] With the advent of 800MHz FSB processors with Hyper-Threading(tm) looming ever closer, EPoX recognises the needs of its users and addresses this with EP-4PCA3+ mainboard utilising the latest Intel 875P and ICH5-R chipset.

This long awaited Intel 875P chipset, known throughout the industry as "Canterwood", offers some unique high-end features for the extremely demanding users. Supporting the fastest 800MHz FSB operation, it offers the unique Performance Acceleration Technology(tm) (PAT) to fully maximise access to dual channel of DDR400 memory. This gives the user an added performance boost and at the same time stability with the built-in ECC (Error Checking and Correction) capability. Those extra performance benefits make 875P the leader of the pack.

Tapping this unique turbo model, EPoX designed the 4PCA3+ offering with various advanced features including Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), Serial-ATA (S-ATA) RAID, the new RAID-5 function on P-ATA, and built-in 6CH AC'97 Audio. In addition, it features one AGP 8X slot, five PCI expansion slots, and eight USB 2.0 interface. This full bandwidth turbo platform has a feature set so complete it can only be a genuine EPoX.

Following the EPoX tradition, this model delivers superior performance, high degree of stability, and strong overclockability. It supports various EPoX in-house value added features, including Post-Port (an onboard LED-display troubleshooting device), Power BIOS (supporting various overclocking settings via BIOS), Magic Screen (a boot-up screen personalisation utility), Magic Flash (an automatic BIOS update utility), and Magic Health (monitoring the system hardware status).
