We have come across the Quantum Force name a couple of times, and if you are wondering what that is, here is a brief summary.

Performance, without compromise; Foxconn Quantum Force products are engineered to maximize computing power, providing only what you need for break-through performance. If you want to build lean, mean machines with more bang for your buck, come join the force. Designed for extreme overclocking performance with rock-solid reliability, Quantum Force products are enjoyed by enthusiasts, gamers and power users around the world.

More than just a series of products, Quantum Force represents a way of thinking for computer enthusiasts, and a sacred guideline for our engineers and product designers. We call this design process “SWORD”, and every engineer and manager working on Quantum Force products is bound by this philosophy.

Meaning a whole design philosophy to ensure that you will be getting the best consumer electronics Foxconn can produce....ever....ever.....in this world   :-)  . There is even a nice set of logos and an entire manifest to explain the thought process behind it all.

This all sounds very nice indeed, but as always, until we actually hear the band playing there is no hit song. Most people with a western world background find this form of hype and productionphilosophy a bit over the edge. But in the eastern part of the world they love this stuff, and one has to admit that it works well in most cases. And if Foxconn are capable of producing some fantastic products for my PC, I will not disagree, Quantum Force or no.

Below a few words from Foxconns homepage, and a list of specs for the Mars motherboard.

Specifications

Part of the Quantum Force series of motherboards specially designed for gaming and overclocking audiences, MARS is based on the Intel® P35 chipset and supports Intel® Core™2 Quad and Core™ 2 Duo processors.
