Konklusion
Bundkort med chipsettet X79, som CPU'en her skal bruges med, er generelt lidt dyrere end til Z68/Z77 chipsettet, som denne CPU blev sat op imod i artiklen her. Ydelsen kan diskuteres en del. Har man brug for den RAM båndbredde, som X79 tilbyder over Z68/Z77, men egentlig ikke skal bruge den helt vanvittige CPU kraft eller skal man bygge et system med mere end 2 grafikkort, er denne CPU ganske fin, da X79 har flere PCIe baner end Z68/Z77. Er meningen dog, at man skal bruge noget CPU kraft, giver denne CPU ikke meget mening, og slet ikke hvis meningen er, at der skal overclockes. CPU'en har en maks. multiplier på 43, hvor en 2700K har en maks. multiplier på 56, hvilket få 2700K CPU'er kan ramme på luft, dog rammer man nemt den højeste multiplier på 3820 CPU'en, endda uden at ændre på volten.

Jeg giver 4 her, da platformen er rigtig god og byder på nogle ting, som du ikke får med en platform, der har en 2700K CPU, som for eksempel flere PCIe baner og den store RAM båndbredde.
Ydelse - 3
Standard ydelsen ligger ikke meget over 2700K's ydelse, og når det kommer til overclock, giver 2700K en meget større mulighed for at presse chippen.
Pris - 2
2700K CPU'en er omkring 100 kr. billigere end denne, men giver en større mulighed for overclock. 3770K CPU'en koster 200kr. mere, hvilket jeg synes, giver en meget bedre pris/ydelse sammenhæng end denne 3820 CPU.
UK summary
Motherboards with the X79 chipset, which we have to use for this review, is a little more expensive than the Z68/Z77 used for 2700K and 3770K, The performance is for sure for discussion. If you need the big memory bandwidth, which is better than the Z68/Z77, but don't need the extreme power from the CPU or the option of more than 2 graphics cards with the more PCI-e lanes, then you should go for the X79 chipset. But if your focus is to get a lot of CPU power, you should look for another CPU but the 3820 - especially if we are talking about overclocking. 3820 has a locked and max. multiplier of 43 where the 2700K has a max on 56, which only few 2700K can get to by using air coolers, but 3820 can easily get overclocked to the max. without changing anything but the multiplier and if 4.3 Ghz for an i7 Quad Core is enough and you need the extra PCI-e lanes or memory bandwidth, take a look at the 3820.

I will get it a figure 4, mostly because of the X79 platform that has some extra good feature, you can't get if you go for the 2700K/3770K cpu's - the extra PCI-e lanes and larger memory bandwidth.
Performance - 3
The standard performance isn't so much better than the 2700K's performance and when we are talking about overclock, the 3820 will loose.
Price - 2
2700K CPU is about 100 DKK less than the 3820 and the 2700K gives way better overclock. The 3770K is about 200 DKK more, but I think that it's way better price compare to the performance then the 3820.
