Konklusion
UK summary
This take on a 2-in-1 device from HP is most definitely among the better ones that I have come across, although it doesn't really set itself aside from the Microsoft "original". It is a clear advantage that you can completely remove the keyboard, when using it as a tablet. One might say that the HP Spectre x2 is more of a tablet than a laptop, but you do actually get most of the desktop-experience.
Innovation/Technology - 4
The Microsoft Surface has actually reached the fourth iteration so the concept has been around for a while. A Bang & Olufsen branded sound system and USB-C ports does however give a few extra points.
Bundle/Accessories - 5
Unlike the Microsoft Surface the keyboard comes along for free and so does the pen, USB-adapter and an extra power cord, which I think is pretty much all you could wish for.
Design/Layout - 4
The exterior and quality couldn't be much better, although the keyboard is a bit spongy and the kickstand hard to operate.
Software - 4
Refraining from loading the device up with all kinds of useless software is always a good start, and the HP Support Assistant is actually quite useful.
Performance - 2
The performance is adequate for most tasks, but the battery life and the fact that most competitors feature a faster CPU gets us a bit below average.
Price - 2
At the time of writing this review the lowest online price was just short of 9,000.00 DKK, and even though this does include the keyboard, it is still several hundred more than a similar Microsoft Surface Pro 4 including the keyboard. And when comparing the two it is hard to justify the price gap.
