Here comes the interesting part. Input to the monitor can be done through two ways. Those two ways being BNC or HD15. HD15 is basically the standard for all monitors on the market. BNC on the other hand has also been around for a while but has only really been used on high-end monitors, mainly because of the increased accuracy of signals sent from the video card. But when comparing the two inputs, the differences in picture quality were very close. In fact both inputs were equally the same starting from 640 by 480 all the way up to 1600 by 1200. The only time the BNC input held up its reputation for providing better signals was when running at the G500's maximum resolution (2048 by 1536), text and the overall image was very clear and crisp. When HD15 was used and the monitor was set to 2048 by 1536, the overall image wasn't too bad, but there were some slight image distortion around the text. Also since there are two inputs, a person can hook up two computers to it. With the use of the input 1/2 switch, the monitor then becomes an instant switchbox giving the use even more productivity.
