Today Coolermaster announces the successors to the popular CM 690 case. This case is well known for its value, sleek design and full tower like features. The new cases, CM 690 II and CM 690 II Advanced, keep the much of the original design but add a few new features.
Just as the first edition, the new cases are mid tower, but offer a lot of space. There's now room for up to three cards, 2 radiators, larger CPU coolers such as CMs own V10 and a lot of hard drives. Coolermaster doesn't specify what a "card" is, but presumably they're talking about full-length and dual-slot(video)cards.
User-friendliness has also improved; the cable-management is enhanced, the drive bay is now tool-less and switching your cpu-cooler becomes much easier with the added retaining hole. To further please the eye, the interior now has a matte black finish. CM also redesigned the cooling system whixh means you can now place up to 10(!) fans and the mentioned two radiators. The mesh on the intake and outtakes has bigger holes to improve the airflow and there are fanfilters to ensure the inside of the case stays nice and tidy.
The Advanced edition comes with a few extra's such as an external HDD dock, a 1.8"/2.5" drive cage for SSDs and a steel GPU retention bracket to hold up the weigth of today's big and heavy GPUs. An optional fan can also be mounted on the bracked to provide some extra air to your videocard(s). Price and release date remain unknown for now.
Det fandt jeg et andet sted. Så faktisk er der den gamle CM 690, en 690-II, og en 690-II-advanced
