So regarding 4 or 8gb mem(ram) sticks on Gigabyte X58A-UD5 + Recommend bios for SSD´s ?

Hi, i am considering to change my 6*2gb sticks for some better 3*4 or 3*8gb kit/sæt at one point, will 3*8gb or even 6*8gb work on my Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 mobo ?
and if not does at least 3*4 or 6*4gb sticks work ?
+ I am highly considering a SSD for my C: drive, and i need to know if theres some specific bios i need to use for best work with newest sandforce driven SSD´s or ?.
I downloaded the newest official beta bios for my mobo,and just found out i have rev 2.0 so redownloaded the correct Beta bios for the rev number/board model. FF1 from 15/05/2011.
but not sure if i should risk installing/opdating it since its a beta, and i donno if this one r needed for SSD + mem isue i have in mind. Can you plz help me here. ?

I just found out i have a Rev 2.0 mortherboard, so i downloaded this Beta(newest official bios) in stead.

Sorry for late answer, I did not understand that I had a whole category. In Sweden I only have one thread so I have only watch the thread where you said hello to us :(
Anyway here are my anser:
If I had this issue, I would go for some nice Kingston memory. This is my personally favorit and I know that GIGABYTE motherboards works really good with them. We have listed (I know that the memory list is not so... updated) Kingston KHX1600C9D3K3/12GB. Those memory have official support for 6x DIMM and that will let you use in total 24GB of RAM. 24GB RAM is the maximum for this motherboard.
For the SSD drive, no. There are no BIOS thats better than the other. Use one of the newer versions to get the best stability. I always recommend the non-BETA version. I usually say, there are a reason why its BETA and not FINAL :)

#4. ok well i have gotten a samsung D830 + a new case for my pc.
so i dropped the idea of more mem so far.
but i got a slight isue, regarding bios opdates as well.
it seems that the 2 times i have tryed it was in @bios since i dont have a floppy drive in my pc, and it worked fine to start out with, but as soon as 1-3 days goes by, i eather try a overclock it dosnt like, or i try some settings it dosnt like, or by it self(random) then it crashes the bios, and reinstall the orginal bios from bios chip 2. I read somewhere that its becose i need to save the new bios to the 2nd bios file as well, but i am unsure how safe that is since it dosnt seem like the new bios´es are stable, when they crash randomly, and has to use the org bios file from the 2nd chip again.

Ok. That SSD is really fast, I have the same :)
Sometimes the new BIOS is not always the best. For your case, I would go back to the old BIOS and try out the exact same settings. Just to make sure its not some problems with the overclock you are trying to reach. Can you try this first?

Well.. the problem i am mainly having is that i wanted to opdate bios cos of the newer marvel/intel sata2 firmware for the boards Sata controllers and so on.
+ i cant seem to get anything but the 8 Divider stable on the mem if i overclock.
i can go to 200*20 just fine (with only heat as an isue). but putting my mem division to anything but 8, seems to crash the system.

So i am back into the isue again, 8gb sticks has finally fallen nicely in price. (can get 3*8gb 1600mhz Cl10 , 1,5v Kingston hyper X) for around 900dkk including shipping.
And i am considering this.
Only isue is 2 things.

due not take the 3x8gb kit for the old X58 Chip, the 3x8Gb is more for the new Z68/Z77 Chipset, you should take 3x4GB kit, and if you want to OC then you should increase the QPI / VTT 1.375V maybe 1.4V

Så tech messigt ved kun gigabyte det her, med mindre jeg køber stængerne og tester det selv, og så bruger returret hvis det ikke fungere.
But i hope gigabyte staff will come with official tech suport on this matter, since only they are trustworthy on this subjekt.
