Inserting HDD from linux ?

Hey Synology

Would be able to keep my data, when inserting HDD from my linux machine with EXT4?

I can see the Synology uses the same EXT4 -so would it be enough to just use check disk ?

No - data will be erased when you install the DSM software on the drive.

Also when i'm adding an extra drive ?
