Turtle Beach Z22 USB-headset bliver ikke genkendt af computeren

Jeg har netop købt et Turtle Beach Z22 headset. Dette er et USB headset, men når jeg tilslutter det computeren siger den at USB enheden ikek blev genkendt. Denne besked får jeg uanset hvilken USB port jeg prøver. Min computer kører windows 8.1. Jeg har en bærbar med samme styresystem hvor headsettet virker, så der er ikke noget galt med det. Nogen forslag til en løsning?

Af hvad jeg kan finde ud af, er det firmwaren der er inkompatibel med Windows 8.1.

Har du adgang til en PC med Windows 7? For så prøv lige at sætte headsættet til den først og så i Windows 8 maskinen bagefter.
Google fandt nemlig denne mulige lappeløsning:
"Actually the problem is with the firmware that is embedded on the PX22 volume control hardware. To fix the issue of Windows 8.1 not recognizing this headset, plug this headset into a Windows 7 PC. This will jog the firmware. Once the Windows 7 PC recognizes this headset, you can plug it into a Windows 8, 8.1 PC. This only works for a while - until reboot - or if you lock your Windows 8, 8.1 PC for too long - you will have to plug this back into the Windows 7 PC."

Jeg har en bærbar der også kører windows 8.1. Og headsettet virkede uden problemer på denne, men da jeg satte den over i stationæren lige bagefter så sagde den stadig det samme. Jeg går ud fra den løsning med at få det til at virke i win7 og så sætte den over også ville have virket så.
