VIA med to PCI-Express x16 slots til Pentium 4

VIA er på vej med chipsets til Athlon 64 og Pentium 4, som har to PCI-Express x16 slots. Versionen til Pentium 4 processoren vil have support for 800 og 1066 MHz bushastighed, og PC2700/3200 DDR-SDRAM, ligesom 400 og 533 MHz DDR2-SDRAM. Prøveproduktion af chipsettet starter i oktober, og chipsettet skulle være klar engang i 4. kvartal.

VIA PLANS to make a dual 16X Pentium 4 PCI Express version of a chipset as well as for the AMD Athlon 64.
In this market segment, at least for now, it appears to be alone but we are sure that Nvidia won't compete with it. At least not now, as it officially doesn't have a Pentium 4 chipset and the company has been awfully quiet about it this year. Nvidia surprised us in the past, however, so you never know your luck in the big ciudad.
