Abit har altid været noget af en pioneer, det gælder også deres nye serie af RX600 & RX300 grafikkort som kommer med deres fra bundkort, velkendte vGuru teknologi.

ABIT Launches RX600 and RX300 Graphics Cards

µGuru technology comes to ABIT VGA with vGuru

September 30, 2004 ? In 2003, ABIT changed what people expected from motherboards with the release of its µGuru? technology. µGuru lets users interact and adjust their systems with an easy-to-use Windows interface. Now, ABIT brings this technology to VGA cards with vGuru. ABIT launches the RX600 and RX300 graphic card series ? the first graphics cards with vGuru technology and the first to bring XTurbo performance to the Pro platform.

Based on the ATI Radeon X600 and X300 VPUs, ABIT?s RX600 and RX300 Series combines ATI Radeon graphics with ABIT?s patented vGuru technology for the most powerful, flexible graphics card series available on the market.

ABIT?s vGuru Pro for XTurbo Performance

Based on ABIT's renowned µGuru? motherboard technology, ABIT's vGuru? places unprecedented graphics power and control into the hands of the user. vGuru takes OC Guru? overclocking, Fan EQ? fan control, and BlackBox? diagnostic technologies, and applies them to ABIT's graphics card lineup with an easy-to-use Windows-based interface. With vGuru, users are able to harness the raw potential of ABIT's graphics cards and walk the path of enlightened stability and performance.

OC Guru? gives the user more control over their graphics cards than ever before. Exclusively on vGuru-enabled ABIT graphics cards, OC Guru not only allows the user to adjust VPU and memory operating frequencies but VPU and memory operating voltages as well. With voltage settings enabled, users can finally seek the maximum overclock, without having to be held back by voltage inadequacies. OC Guru's user-friendly interface also acts as a VGA card monitor, displaying core and memory frequencies, voltages and temperatures, along with fan speeds. OC Guru is simply the most comprehensive graphics card overclocking technology available.

Fan EQ? smart fan technology adapts to the temperature of your VPU and adjusts the cooling fan accordingly. With it, users can set the high, medium, and low temperature thresholds for Fan EQ to respond to. If the temperature reaches your preset limits, Fan EQ automatically adjusts the fan speeds accordingly. This allows the user to enjoy the best of both worlds - silent computing when the VPU is under load, and high-powered cooling during intense 3D games.

vGuru takes the hassle out of traditional technical support with BlackBox? , BlackBox technology automatically detects system information which can be sent directly to ABIT Tech Support via e-mail for processing. No more filling out forms and looking up lengthy model numbers. BlackBox does it all quickly and easily with a click of the mouse, allowing you to get fast and friendly support if the need arises.

Found on the RX600 Pro-Guru and RX300 SE-Guru, ABIT XTurbo? technology allows you to effortlessly squeeze extra performance from your graphics card. Developed by ABIT Engineers, XTurbo equips the graphics card with not one but two BIOS chips. With the easy-to-adjust hardware jumper, users can select between normal and XTurbo operating modes for a performance gain of up to 25%! What?s more, a dual BIOS configuration on the graphics card acts as a backup solution. Should one BIOS become corrupted for any reason, the second one kicks in, allowing the user to re-flash the other one. Now that?s BulletProof Technology.

Next Generation Graphics Technology

At the heart of the ABIT RX600 and RX300 are the ATI Radeon X600 and X300 VPUs, which offer the latest ATI graphics technologies designed to bring forth a new era of high-definition gaming. 3Dc? is a new compression technology allows game developers to pack more detail into real time 3D images than ever before, improving image quality without sacrificing performance. ATI SMARTSHADER? technology enables advanced visual effects such as depth of field and detailed hair rendering that help bring graphics to life. ATI SMOOTHVISION? improves anti-aliasing performance and smoothes out jagged edges in the rendered frame. HYPER Z? provides lossless Z-Buffer compression at ratios of up to 48:1, allowing for real-time shadow rendering. Along with VIDEOSHADER? technology that delivers seamless integration of pixel shaders with video in real time, the RX600 and RX300 Series are the most robust graphics solutions available today.

HDTV Ready

The RX600 Pro-HDTV is built for the next generation of HDTV displays. Included in the package is a specially designed daughter card that provides component out and a D connector, allowing the RX600 Pro-HDTV to display high-quality HDTV video with native widescreen support. Supported HDTV video modes include 480P, 480i, 720P, and 1080i, and 16:9 / 4:3 aspect ratios are supported as well. The PCI Express interface is optimized for video capture and editing, making the RX600 Pro-HDTV perfect for multimedia buffs.

I modsætning til NV 6600 som stadig må betegnes som vapor-ware i danske butikker på trods af at en hær af web-sites bliver ved med at overdynge nettet med den ene test efter den anden, så er disse kort i da det mindste til at købe. Desværre kun i PCI-E udgave.... :(
