VIA fejrer i dag at de har produceret 100 millioner chipsets til AMDs Athlon platform. Chipset nummer 100.000.000 er et Apollo K8T890, som vil blive overrakt til AMD ved en ceremoni i dag af VIAs CEO Wenchi Chen.
Det første chipset til AMD Athlon fra VIA, var et Apollo KX133, som blev introduceret i 1999, mens det nyeste altså hedder Apollo K8T890.

The 100 millionth chipset, a VIA K8T890, will be presented to AMD by VIA President and CEO Wenchi Chen at a ceremony to be held in San Francisco on Thursday 24th February.
