CHINESE WIRES are reporting that Intel has been in discussions with Silicon Integrated Systems (SIS) to use its chipsets for entry level motherboards.
That's what Digitimes reckons, sourcing this story from the Chinese publication Commercial Times.
Intel, SIS and its parent UMC refused to comment on the report. While it's true that Intel has a shortage of chipsets, this would be something of a first for Chipzilla, to put it mildly.
