Så er der godt nyt på SSD fronten, i disse dage bliver nye SSD diske med SandForce SF-2200 SSD chip lanceret.
Det betyder at man har været i stand til at hæver ydeevnen helt op til 550MB /s læse og 500 MB /s skrive !!! - og egner sig specielt til Sandy Bridge setup's.
Prisen på de nye diske, skulle på frigivelsestidspunktet ligge på omkring $249 MSRP for 120Gb udgaven og $499 MSRP for 240Gb, hvilket vil sige en prisstigning på 20-25% indtil priserne stabilisere sig.

OCZ Technology Unveils the Vertex 3 and Vertex 3 Pro SATA 6Gbps Solid State Drives

SAN JOSE, CA-February 24, 2011-OCZ Technology Group, Inc. The Vertex 3 is the first solution to feature the new SandForce SF-2200 SSD processor, and raises the bar in performance with up to 550MB/s read and 500MB/s write transfer rates and up to 60,000 IOPS (4k random write).
