Konklusion
Der findes rigtig mange forskellige eksterne harddiske på markedet i dag, og når det gælder diske med en 2.5" indeni, er der ikke meget anden forskel på dem end designet. Samsung har derfor valgt at gøre meget ud af designet på denne disk, hvilket virker som et klogt træk.
Innovation/Teknologi - 3
Samsung har ændret noget af det eneste, man rigtigt kan ændre på en ekstern harddisk af denne type, nemlig designet. Og dette har de gjort rimelig godt, men det er altså ikke nok til at vi kommer meget over en middelkarakter.
Bundle/Tilbehør - 4
Et USB-kabel og en manual trækker ikke så meget op i kategorien her, men med hele to medfølgende programmer til backup og kryptering, kommer vi et stykke over middel. Det ville dog have klædt bundlet, hvis der også havde fulgt et lille læderetui eller lignende med.
Design/Layout - 5
Designmæssigt skiller Samsung S2 sig ud fra mængden. Med sit stilrene og gennemdesignede ydre vil den pynte på ethvert skrivebord, og med flere forskellige farver at vælge imellem, skulle man nok kunne finde en der falder i ens smag. Samsung S2 får topkarakter for den design.
Software - 3
Backup-programmet er udover at være lidt forvirrende i starten faktisk et udmærket program, og det er flot at der følger hele to programmer med til disken. At jeg ikke kunne få SecureZone til at fungere med 64-bit Windows er selvfølgelig uheldigt, men ikke noget jeg vil trække særligt ned for. Ud over dette er backup programmet rigtig fint og simpelt opbygget. Vi lander lidt over middel.
Ydelse - 3
Ydelsen er ikke helt i top men disken falder heller ikke ligefrem igennem på dette punkt. Uden at imponere leverer disken en rimelig hastighed de fleste bør være tilfredse med. Der er dog god plads på disken der med 500GB er blandt de største når det kommer til 2.5" diske.
Pris - 3
Samsung S2 koster ca. 950 kr. for 500 GB versionen, hvilket faktisk ikke er helt tosset. Med denne pris lægger Samsung S2 sig midt i feltet, og med dens flotte design kommer vi lidt over middel for prisen.

There is a great variety of different external harddrives on today’s market, and when it comes to disks based on an internal 2.5" harddrive, the design is pretty much the only thing that is different. That is why Samsung has chosen to put a great deal of effort into the exterior of this disk and this seems like a good idea.
Innovation/Technology - 3
Samsung has changed the one thing that you can really change in this type of external harddrive and that is the design. They have done a fairly good job but that is only enough to get them slightly past the average.
Bundle/Accessories - 4
One USB-cable and a manual is not enough to get us past average in this category. But no less than two additional programs for backup and encryption most certainly will. It would, however, have been nice to get some kind of carrying case or bag as well.
Design/Layout - 5
In matters of design the Samsung S2 really does stand out from the crowd. Its design is both pure in style and well thought through, which makes it a joy to the eye. It comes in several different colors so everyone can get one suiting their own taste. For its beautiful design, the Samsung S2 get a top mark.
Software - 3
Apart from being a bit confusing at first, the backup utility is actually a pretty nice piece of software. And the fact that the disk comes with not one but two programs is pretty nice. It is unfortunate that I could not get SecureZone up and running with a 64-bit version of Windows, but I won’t draw down the grade much for that reason. Apart from the incompatibility issue, SecureZone is a nice and simple piece of software. For the software the disk gets a grade of three.
Performance - 3
The performance is not outstanding but it is not exactly poor either. The performance is not impressive but I believe that it is sufficient for most people’s needs. Its capacity is, however, among the largest on the market when it comes to 2.5" based disks.
Price - 3
The Samsung S2 is priced at about 950 DKK (~ € 128) for the 500 GB version which is actually not that bad. This price places it in the middle of the pack, and considering its beautiful design we get a bit above average.
