Introduction

On May 30th I participated in Hwt AMD OC event in Viborg, which was sponsored by AMD, Asus, BGF, Patriot and last but not least  MMD, along with 4 other Hwt users.

The goal of the event was to see who could do the highest overclock on AMD Phenom II x4 490 CPU. The main price was a, at that time, nameless dedicated overclocking CPU plus a gift certificate to a hardware store worth 300€. Besides that all competitors were allowed to keep the BFG powersupply, AMD CPU and Patriot RAM used in the competition.
So there was alot to win and nothing to loose, just by competing, which I think comtributed to the relaxed and cozy mood during the event itself.
The final standing was as folllows:

Ginner 4GHz.
Jaadce 5.7GHz.
Martin V.R 6.02GHz
Beier 6.05GHz
TheGreenFox 6.09GHz

This gave me a 10th place on hwbots ranking system, but now I am currently ranked 12.
It was rather overwhelming for a rookie overclocker like myself, but let us skip forward to what this article is really about, the CPU I recieved a month later, which was the very limited Phenom II 42 TWKR edition from AMD's Phenom II series.
