Konklusion
Test: Intel DP55WG Media Series

hereUK summary
Don't invest in this motherboard if you're going to overclock, it's has been made to be absolutely rock stable as a Mediacenter or Workstation, without all the Legacy connections etc. IDE/Floppy, COM, PAR & PS/2.
Innovation/Technology - 3
Nothing new, but nice to see that the Legacy connections are gone.
Bundle/Accessories - 3
This bundle is almost standard. I would have liked 2 more SATA cables, since they are blue, matching the design of the motherboard. The Quick Reference guide is one of the best I have ever seen, which made it really easy to connect all the cables.
Design/Layout - 4
The design is simple and quite nice looking. As long as you don't overclock, it's rock stable.
Software/BIOS - 4
The software package points in the HTPC/mediacenter direction, and the basic functions are a bit more advanced than the usual OEM stuff. I'm very positive about the BIOS functionality, which is quite easy to navigate through and the recovery functions are in my eyes the best I have ever seen. If I should mention one thing, then it's the time it takes from pressing the power button till it comes through POST ... 25 secs ... that's a long time, but I guess it's necessary.
Performance - 3
Again, it's not an OC performer, but it's rock stable.
Price - 3
The price is around €133,-, which I think is quite expensive compared to what you get for the money. Ther are alternatives out there from AsRock and Asus around €100,-, if you can live with having some of the Legacy units etc. PATA connectors. Most cheaper motherboards will also be rock stable as long as you don't overclock.
