Et oc til 3ghz og afsted. Yonah viser sit potentiale og slår fast at Intel er tilbage. Spil-ydelsen er i top, men video-behandlingen halter lidt ved standard hastighed. Vi glæder os fortsat til Conroe!



Thanks to AOpen i975Xa-YDG mainboard we managed to conduct a number of overclocking experiments on our Intel Core Duo T2600 processor. Overclocking proved to have significantly raised the performance of this mobile dual-core processor so that we could place it on the same level with the fastest Intel Pentium Extreme Edition and AMD Athlon 64 FX processors.

Bit-tech har lavet en artikel hvor test-setupet er det samme som hos Xbitlabs. De tester T2600 ved standard hastighed og ocet til 2,6ghz, de dækker dog også Multitasking-performance hvor T2600 virkelig viser tænder.



Intel spent a long time talking about its brand new Core microarchitecture at the Intel Developer Forum Spring '06. Yonah (officially named Core Duo) is the predecessor to the new Core microarchitecture chips to which it lends its name, and it is predominantly a mobile part, but also forms an important part of the company's Viiv platform for low-power, high-capability media PCs. Core Duo, despite the name, doesn't sport the Core microarchitecture, which will appear first in Conroe - now called Core 2 Duo - in just a couple of month's time.
