Introduction

Foxconn is really making an effort these days to enter the PC mainboard enthusiast market.  In alliance with BIOS engineers from DFI, and lately the overclocking guru Shamino, Foxconn is boosting their development powers, and this has resulted in a series of rather special products, with focus on the overclocking potential.

The first product we have recieved from the new lineup is an Intel P35 based motherboard called Mars. If you are into historical facts you will know that Mars is the roman god of war, and Foxconn is getting ready to attack the many tiny and weak mainstream motherboards, and promise an overclocking potential out of the ordinary. We will of course be testing this when we put the board through its paces later in this article, and try out our very OC friendly E8400 Wolfdale. Both this board and a number of upcoming models are made using the socalled Quantum Force design philosophy, made to ensure high quality products. More on that later on.
