Introduction

As the first in the world, we we´re given the opportunity to test Patriots Warp v3 256GB SSD, and now we've returned with 2 of them, installing them in a RAID-0 configuration, doubling space aswell as bumping the read/write speeds seriously upwards. A single one of these SSD's reads with up to 240MB/s, which is only 10MB/s from the maximum attainable speed of the SATA-connection.

Patriot has existed since 1985 and exclusively produces RAM, flash-modules and SSD's from their own factories located in Fremont, California USA. Patriot has its own sales-offices in the U.S. and Asis, but they're also selling through distribution channels to North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Besides that, Patriot is a proud member of JEDEC, and as their homepage says; "You can feel confident that your Patriot modules are of the highest quality available" - which is to be taken literally, since all of their RAM-products come with a lifetime warranty. The SSD in this test will have to make do with only a standard 2 year warranty.
