Konklusion
Der skal ikke være nogen tvivl om, at MSIs K8N Diamond er et rigtigt godt bundkort til AMD Athlon 64 ejere. Ydelsen fejler intet og antallet af onboard features er overvældende. Ud over de sædvanlige USB2.0 porte og S-ATA porte finder man på K8N Diamond både WLAN og Bluetooth med tilhørende antenne og oveni det har MSI sat en Creative Sound Blaste Live! 24bit lydchip onboard. Der er ikke NVIDIAs SoundStorm, men i forhold til de sædvanlige AC'97 lydchips, er der meget at hente.
I bundlen finder man diverse kabler og brackets, som man kunne få brug for og så er der også fordelene ved at kunne blive medlem i MSIs Diamond Club.
Overclocking har MSI med K8N Diamond også styr på og selv under ekstra pres viser chipsæt og MOSFET kølerne fra deres bedste side og kvitterer med lave temperaturer og et fornuftigt støjniveau sammenlignet med andre nForce 4 bundkort.
MSI har dog ikke undgået alle kritikpunkter - software bundlen placerer sig ikke i den bedste ende af skalaen og prisen er i top. Ganske vidst er K8N Diamond udstyret med alt hvad hjertet kan begære, men det er også det absolut dyreste i klassen. Sammenligner man med de andre producenter er der tale om 200-300 kr. dyrere - bortset fra Asus, der er prisforskellen så stor som 700 kr. selv om der er tale om Deluxe modellen. Asus har vist at selv topmodellerne kan have en uhørt lav pris og så må de andre producenter følger trop - det er muligt at WLAN, Bluetooth og et Sound Blaster Live! lydkort kan koste forbrugeren små 700 kr., men lur mig om ikke MSIs udgifter for at sætte disse onboard er meget lavere.
Ikke desto mindre er MSIs K8N Diamond uden tvivl et af de bedste nForce 4 bundkort på markedet og uden at tøve vil jeg tildele det vores Excellent Product Award:

UK Conclusion
Let there be no doubt that the MSI K8N Diamond is a very good motherboard for the AMD Athlon 64 owners. The performance is spotless and the amount of features is overwhelming. Besides the usual USB2.0 and S-ATA ports, one will find on the K8N Diamond both WLAN and BlueTooth accessorised with antenna. On top of that, MSI has chosen to put a Creative SoundBlaster Live! 24 bit sound chip onboard. It isn't nVidia's SoundStorm, but in comparison to the usual AC'97 sound chips it's a lot better.
In the bundle one will find miscellaneous cables and brackets that could be useful and then there are the advantages of becoming a member of MSI's DiamondClub. With the K8N Diamond MSI has gotten overclocking under control too and even under this extra stress, both chipset and MOSFET coolers show their best and delivers of in low temperatures at a reasonable noise level, compared to other nForce 4 motherboards.
MSI hasn't avoided all critique areas though - The software bundle doesn't place itself in the best end of the scale and the motherboard comes at a high price. Yes, the K8N Diamond is equipped with a lot of good stuff, but it is also is the most expensive in its class. Compared to other manufacturers the motherboard is priced about 20-30 £ higher - except from Asus. Here the difference in price, is as big as 70 £, even though it's the Deluxe model. Asus has shown that even the top models can have an obscene low price and the other manufacturers should be able to sell their motherboards at a lower price too. It is possible that WLAN, BlueTooth and a SoundBlaster Live! Sound card could cost the consumer about 70 £. But it wouldn't surprise me, if MSI's expenses in mounting these things are lower than 70 £.
None the less, MSI's K8N Diamond is without a doubt one of the best nForce 4 motherboards on the market and I will, with no hesitation, give it our "Excellent Product Award":
