Specifikationer

Skal bundkortet bruges til et spille system, har MSI også smidt en god audio chip på. Signalet kommer igennem en ALC1150 lydchip til en OPA1652 OP AMP forstærker ud til guldbelagte mini jack stik på I/O pladsen.

Som vi så i kassens indhold fulgte et strømstik med. Dette strømstik sættes til bundkortet hvorefter det kan modtage strøm fra et 4-pin molex stik fra strømforsyningen for at leverer en så stabil 5 volt spænding til 2 USB porte beregnet til eksterne lydkort. Med flere USB enheder sat til systemet kan spændingen variere en smule, men med denne løsning skal det være strømforsyningen der variere i spændingen.

På bundkortet sidder et andet netkort; Killer E2205. Det bliver kaldt for en NPU (Network Proccesing Unit, red). NPU'en er en dedikeret processor, der kører med en clock hastighed på 400 MHz. Denne processor er klart den hurtigste måde til at håndtere netværkstrafik. Der bliver fremhævet lavere ping tider, men det er som oftest ikke her pingtider bliver et problem. Det er oftest fra ens eget udstyr, som et netkort ikke kan gøre ret meget ved. E2200-enheden har dog den fordel, at dens software kan overvåge og håndtere netværkstrafik så man stadig kan downloade i baggrunden men beholde lave pingtider.

Bundkortet er bygget op med MSI's Military Class 4 komponenter. Det betyder Hi-c CAP, SF chokes og Dark CAP's, hvor alle komponenter er testet i følge militærets MIL-STD-810G standarder.
