Test: Riotoro CR 1088

 Konklusion

Med CR1088 har Riotoro fremstillet et cube-agtigt kabinet, der er skabt til gameren. Trods den beskedne størrelse er der plads til en stor PSU og et par store grafikkort. RGB er kommet for at blive, og Riotoro skuffer ikke. Midt i fronten, som er sort mesh, sidder en stor (RGB)prisme, der er ført hele vejen rundt. Riotoro skriver selv, at CR1088 er det mindste full-size ATX kabinet du nogensinde får brug for. Og det er ikke helt ved siden af.
Riotoro er dog gået på kompromis et par steder, for at holde den kompakte størrelse. Mulighederne for køling er ret begrænset med 122 mm frigang til en luftkøler og kun plads til en enkelt 120 mm radiator.

Riotoro har delt CR1088 op i to separate kamre. I højre side, hvor bundkort osv. skal monteres, er der flere udskæringer til kabelføring. Der mangler dog den omkring CPU-soklen. I venstre side monteres PSU´en sidelæns, og toppen er forbeholdt diske. Disse monteres i et ret så smart værktøjsfrit system. RGB´en er magen til den vi så i CR1288, og den virker fortrinligt.

Bundle/Tilbehør - 3
Tilbehørskassen indholder hvad man kan forvente. Hverken mere eller mindre. Den udsædvanlig gode manual trækker karakteren lidt op.

Design - 4
Den sorte mesh-front med RGB-prismen, nærmest skriger på gameren. Toppen er meget stilren med et velfungerende i/o panel. Ventilationshuller fuldender en elegant top. En røgfarvet siderude, der buler lidt ud, giver frit udsyn til hardwaren. Den anden side er helt glat med ventilationshuller omkring PSU-området. Også bunden har fået ventilationshuller. Der er filtre alle de rigtige steder. Alt i alt fremstår CR1088 som et lækkert kabinet af høj kvalitet

Price - 2
I skrivende stund koster Riotoro CR1088 905,31 kr. inkl. levering. Prisen er i den høje ende. Der findes billigere alternativer, som dog er uden RGB, men har bedre muligheder for køling.

With the CR1088, Riotoro has manufactured a cube´ish chassis, ment for the gamer. Despite the modest size, it has space for a large PSU, and a pair of long graphic cards. RGB has come to stay, and Riotoro doesn´t disappoint. In the middle of the front, which is black mesh, there´s a big (RGB)prism, which goes all the way around.
Riotoro claims that CR1088 is the smallest full size ATX chassis you’ll ever need. And that is about spot on.
To keep the compact size, Riotoro had to make some compromises. The cooling options is limited with only 122 mm space for a aircooler, and only space for single 120 mm radiator.
 

Innovation/Technology - 4
Riotoro has separated the CR1088 in two champers. In the right side, were your motherboard etc. is to be installed, there’s cut outs for cable management. But the one around the CPU socket is missing. In the left side, you PSU is mounted sideways, and the top is reserved for discs. These are mounted in a rather clever system. The RGB is the same as we saw in the CR1288, and it works excellent.

The accessory box contains what you would expect. Nothing more, nor less. The manual is very good, and adds to the score.

Design - 4
The black mesh front almost screams at the gamer. The top is very stylish, with a well working i/o panel. Ventilationsholes completes the elegant top. A smokey windows side panel, which bumps out, gives good view at the hardware. The other side I smooth with ventilationholes around the PSU area. The bottom contains ventilationholes as well. There’s filters all the right places. All in all the Riotoro CR1088 stands as a nice chassis of high quality.

As of writing Riotoro CR1088 has a price tag of 905,31 DKK. That´s in the high end. There’s cheaper alternates, though without RGB, but with better cooling options
