Test: ASRock X570 STEEL LEGEND

Konklusion

Der ser ud til at være lagt lidt flere lækre funktioner i dette STEEL LEGEND fra ASROCK og det spillede da også upåklageligt i testperioden. Det er glædeligt at se THUNDERBOLT teknologien være kommet til AMD platformen ved hjælp af et kort man skal tilkøbe. Bundkortet er for så vidt rigtigt velbestykket med mange SATA stik og USB 3.2 stik så her er rige muligheder for udvidelser i kraft af Storage enheder. X570 chipsættet er også fuldt udnyttet til de 2 M.2 Gen4 PCIe sokler og der er også blevet plads til et M.2 Wi-Fi kort. En lidt justerbar I/O plade er også en helt fin ting. ASROCK har også strammet op på de anvendte komponenter på dette bundkort i form af højkvalitets kondensatorer overalt. Så der er ikke rigtigt noget negativt jeg kan sætte fingre på. Det gør så heller ikke spor at dette bundkort er i den betalelige ende af skalaen.
 

Innovation/Teknologi - 5
Her må det blive et femtal især for PCIe 4.0 teknologien som er understøttet på dette bundkort. Man har fra ASRock side udnyttet hele potentialet i chipsættet og fået et hav af USB 3.2 smidt på kortet, så der er oceaner af muligheder for flere M.2 SSDer og rigtigt mange SATA 3 enheder.

Bundle/Tilbehør - 3
Her er hvad man kan forvente og det er ikke vildt meget. Der er dog software til at overclocke, styre RGB LED Striber og diverse andre småprogrammer til f.eks. at genstarte til BIOS. Også rart at se at der her er inkluderet 4 SATA 6GB/s ledninger.

Design/Layout - 4
Selve designet på bundkortet er for så vidt ikke helt min smag dog er jeg vild med de 2 køleplader til M.2 erne som samtidig er en del af Chipsætkøleren. Det skader bestemt heller ikke at det overordnede indtryk er sort med meget sølvfarvet i kraft af alle kølerne på bundkortet. RGB logoerne er for så vidt også i orden blot en smule stærke at have kørende. Camouflage felterne kunne jeg godt have undværet, de skaber blot uro.

Software/BIOS - 3
BIOS'en er for så vidt rigtig fin og let at navigere i så den kunne godt få et 4 tal, men den medfølgende softwarepakke synes jeg er temmelig tynd.

Ydelse - 4
Ydelsen på dette mainstream bundkort er faktisk ganske udmærket og det lever fint op til ydelsen fra de fleste andre X570 bundkort.

Pris - 5
Prisen på 1722 kr. synes jeg er absolut rimelig for dette ASROCK STEEL LEGEND bundkort som på bedste vis udnytter alle funktioner på X570 chipsættet og så lige lidt mere i form af THUNDERBOLT 3 interface.

UK summary

It seems that there's included a little more delicious features in this STEEL LEGEND from ASROCK and it also played impeccably during the test period. It is gratifying to see THUNDERBOLT technology avaiable for the AMD platform by using a card to buy. The motherboard is well equipped with many SATA connectors and USB 3.2 connectors. so theres plenty of options for extensions of Storage devices. The X570 chip set is also fully utilized for the 2 M. 2 Gen4 PCIe sockets and there has also been room for an M. 2 Wi-Fi card. A slightly adjustable I/O plate is also a perfectly nice thing. ASROCK has also tightened up the components used on this motherboard in the form of high-quality capacitors everywhere. So there is not really anything negative I can put my fingers on. Nor does it make any downside that this motherboard is at the payable end of the scale.
 

Innovation/Technology - 5
Here it must be a grade of 5, especially for the PCIe 4.0 technology that is supported on this motherboard. From the ASRock side, you have utilized the full potential of the chipset and you get a load of USB 3.2 thrown on the card, so there are plenty of options for several M. 2 SSDer and a lot of SATA 3 devices.

Bundle/Accessories - 3
Here is what to expect and it is not wildly much. However, there's software to overclock, control RGB LED stripes and various other small programs for example to reboot to the BIOS. It's also nice to see that Asrock included 4 SATA 6GB/s wires.

Design/Layout - 4
The actual design of the motherboard is not entirely my taste, however, I love the 2 cooling plates for the M2 which are also part of the chipset cooler. It certainly does not hurt that the overall impression is black with alot of silver on the motherboard due to the heatsinks.  The RGB logos are, to a certain extent, also in order -  just a bit strong to have running. I could have done without the camouflage fields, as they just cause disturbance. .

Software/BIOS - 3
The Bios is so far really fine and easy to navigate in, so it could easy get a grade of 4, but the bundled software package seems pretty thin.

Performance - 4
The performance on this mainstream motherboard is actually quite excellent and it lives nicely up to the performance of most other X570 motherboards.

Price - 5
The price of 1722 DKK  I think is absolutely reasonable for this ASROCK STEEL LEGEND motherboard, which takes advantage of all the features of the X570 chipset and then some in the form of the THUNDERBOLT 3 interface.
