Test: AData SH93

Konklusion

AData SH93 er en ganske fin ekstern harddiske, der kan holde til lidt af hvert. Det eneste dårlige man kan sige om disken er, at designet nok ikke vil falde i alles smag. Hvad den ikke har i design opvejer den dog ved at være praktisk, og ganske modstandsdygtig overfor stød, snavs og væske. 

Innovation/Teknologi - 3
Som nogle af de første har AData indset, at det tit er vigtigere at ens data er godt beskyttet, end at indpakningen vinder en designpris. Teknologisk er det dog blot en 2,5" harddisk i et kabinet, så mere end tre kan jeg ikke give.

Bundle/Tilbehør - 2
Det følger kun et enkelt USB-kabel med disken. Faktisk er det også det eneste man behøver, men mere end to kan det ikke give.

Design/Layout - 4
AData SH93 er ikke den flotteste disk på markedet, men til gengæld er den speciel. Disken er designet med brugsværdi i højsædet, og det bør anerkendes selv om den ikke ligefrem er stilren. Det er desuden en smart detalje, at USB-kablet kan sidde fast rundt om disken, hvilket igen gør den praktisk at have med. 

Software - N/A
Disken virker uden problemer med Windows 7. Da der ikke følger noget software med, vil jeg dog ikke give nogen karakter her.

Ydelse - 3
Der bliver ikke slået nogen hastighedsrekorder, men hvis man køber et produkt som dette, er det heller ikke på grund af hastigheden.

Pris - 4
Jeg har endnu ikke kunnet finde en dansk pris på disken, men i en svensk netbutik kunne disken erhverves for hvad der svarer til ca. 550,- kr for 320GB og ca. 700,- for 500GB. Dette placerer disken sådan ca. midt i feltet, og så speciel som disken her er, havde jeg forventet den ville lægge sig i den dyrere ende. Selv om der ikke følger så meget med disken får den et firetal, da brugsværdien er helt i top.

UK summary

AData SH93 is a very nice external hard drive which is a litlle tougher that others of its kind. The only real con of this disc is that the design will probably not appeal to everyone. It might not be the prettiest external hard drive out there, but it is however the most practical and very resistant to shock, dirt and liquid.

Innovation & Technology - 3
As one of the first AData have realized that it is often more important that your data is well protected than the wrapping wins a design award. Considering the technology it is stll just a 2.5 "hard drive in a cabinet which means that I can not award more than a grade of three in this category.

Bundle / Accessories - 2
 Just a single USB cable is included along with the disk itself. Indeed this is all you need, but than two I can not give.

Design / Layout - 4
AData SH93 is not the best looking disc on the market but it does stand out from the crowd. The disc is designed with the utility value in mind, and it should be acknowledged although it is not exactly stylish. It is also a clever detail that the USB cable wrap around the disk, which in turn makes it practical to carry along.

Software - N / A
The disk works seamlessly with Windows 7, but since no software is included I will give no grade in this kategory.

Performance - 3
The AData SH93 does not break any speed records, but if you buy a product like this it is not because of speed.

Price - 4
I have not been able to find a danish price of the disc, but in a Swedish webshop the disk could be acquired for the equivalent of approx. 550,- DKK for 320GB and 700,- DKK for 500GB. This puts this disc around the middle pricewise, and since it is as special as it is, I had expected it would be at the higher end. Although the bundle is kind of thin the disc gets a four since the utility value is top notch.
