Konklusion

UK Summary

About the company can be said, that they indeed live up to their own decreed. They write about themselves, that they aim at the market in their best, and try to satisfy their buyers. One thing is to produce cool housings, another is to listen to critics and compliments. It seems, that NZXT isn't to bigheaded to correct themself. One of their earlier housings got a lot of critique, where a lot of those errors are now corrected in their "Nemesis"-series.

Nice done by NZXT, but also a very wise decision. There is a lot of competition on the market, and if your trademark isn't "LianLi", "AlienWare" or "Thermaltake", it's very hard to sell your products, unless they got the right.

With Nemesis Elite Edition, NZXT have made a housing that aims high, hits well, but almost misses. The housing wins on its various features and good ideas, but there are too many minor flaws to let it get an award in the better end. The thought has passed me by, very close. But in comparison to what I want from a product in the better end, Nemesis Elite Edition doesn't succeed. My first hand impression was, that I was sitting with a piece of plastic-crap, and just had to test it. Fortunately the housing changed my attitude to that, and the product itself. There should be no doubt about, that this is a product of quality. One just get the feeling of, so close to finish, and then it stumbles. If the box on top had been of the same quality as the front itself, it would have made it. If the window had been more solid, it would have made it. If the on/off-switch had been a little nicer to use, it would have made it. If one didn't have to remove the front before mounting external drives, it would have made.

A lot of "would haves".

In the overall perspective, you sit with a housing that want to play with the big boys (ie. LianLi), by my judgement. A lot of the things are there. The feeling of quality, depth and weight. This feeling is ruined when you lay hands on the window, touches the box on top or have troubles mounting your graphics card.

I've mentioned LianLi a lot of times during this review. It's not to be considered a critique, but a little compliment, that I compare this housing to a so well established trademark. I have to admit, that this housing is somewhat far from what I'd normally choose. Therefore the enthusiasm is so much more considerable, that this housing almost "converts" me. The housing should, after my opinion, be judged realistic. In perspective of other products on the market, Nemesis Elite Edition, places itself in the bottom of the elite. Therefore, I'd like to give the housing a "Safe buy" award. Surely deserves it, but let me just point out. NZXT needs to correct some minor flaws or just chose a followed through solution. Then, by all means, an award of the "big ones" would have been given. No doubt about that.

Pros
● Display/controller-unit
● Design (despite my "normal" taste)
● 3x 120 mm fans
● The feeling of quality
● A lot of good features and ideas
● Screw less mounting of hardware

Cons
● The feeling of plastic, window and the box on top
● The feeling of quality, that is only ruined by plastic
● Great ideas and solutions, that are drawn back by minor flaws
● One have to demount the front, in order to mount 5,25" and 3,5" drives
