Test: AData Dash Drive Elite HE 720

Konklusion

Denne disk har jeg været meget glad for at have til test. Det er jo rart at få lov til at afprøve lidt forskelligt hardware og nu har jeg jo snart testet nogle stykker af disse mobile USB 3 harddiske. Denne her har skilt sig lidt ud på grund af den fysiske størrelse, som sætter nye standarder for begrebet mobil. Det er bestemt slet ikke svært at finde plads til den og den tilhørende ledning i en lomme, når man lige skal ud af døren. Selve den fysiske fremtoning synes jeg nu også, er rigtig lækker, så jo dette ville da helt klart være et drev at kigge på, hvis jeg lige stod og manglede en mobil harddisk på 500 GB.

Innovation/Teknologi - 4
Rart at se, at teknologien kan klemmes ned i nu endnu mindre fysisk form uden, at der af den grund tabes noget på ydelsen.

Bundle/Tilbehør - 3
Der er i pakken lige det, man skal bruge for at kunne få gang i udnyttelsen af denne harddisk, og mere end en manual og et USB 3.0 kabel kan man vel dårligt nok forvente. Man kunne måske bruge et sleeve til at transportere den i, men okay, den er jo overfladebeskyttet, så det er da godt nok.

Design/Layout - 5
Jeg er meget tilfreds med designet på denne harddisk. Den ser rigtig lækker ud i sit elegante slanke rustfrie look og feel. Alle hjørner og kanter er fint afrundet, så ingen skarpe kanter overhovedet.

Software - 4
Det er en rigtig fornuftig software AData har leveret med på denne harddisk. Den er rimelig ukompliceret at sætte sig ind i og når man har sat jobbene op så kører backuppen da helt af sig selv, når der trykkes på "backupknappen" eller "execute" udføres i programmet.

Ydelse - 4
Ydelsen ligger bestemt i den pæne ende af, hvad jeg har afprøvet på USB 3.0 stikkene på min computer. Det vil man nu også forvente af netop dette drev, da det er AData's flagskib indenfor USB 3.0 harddiske. 

Pris - 3
Jeg synes måske nok, at prisen er røget lidt op imod det kritiske for et drev af med "kun" 500 GB kapacitet. Men jeg vil også være så fair at sige, hvis man er til lækker stil og elegance samt et rustfrit ydre, som tåler nogle knubs samt, at det er verdens mindste USB 3.0 harddisk lige pt. Ja, så er det da afgjort den lidt højere pris værd.

UK summary

It has been a great pleasure to test this harddrive. It is always nice to get a opportunity to test different speciments within a given hardware category in this case a couple of mobile USB 3 harddrives. This one has drawn some ammount of extra attention because of its physical size that will set a new standard for the mobile unit consept. It is by no means at all hard to find space inside your pockets to rest this harddrive and its short cable. The physical appearence of this harddrive I do find very appealing, so yes this item would be well worth considering if in the near future, I should by a mobile harddrive.

Innovation/Technology - 4
Very nice to see that the USB 3.0 technology now can be compressed to an even smaller physical shape, without any compromises on the performance.

Bundle/Accessories - 3
Within the bundle to this harddrive, you find only just what you need to get this harddrive going. It is however barely relevant to expect much more than a manual and an USB 3.0 cabel. One might be missing a sleeve for this drive, but on the otherhand the drive has a protective layer aplied to the surface so this really should be sufficiant.

Design/Layout - 5
I am very pleased with the design of this harddrive. It looks rather nice in its elegant, slim and stainless steel look and feel. All corners and edges are nicely rounded, so no sharp things at all on this harddrive.

Software - 4
It is a very good software that Adata has bundled on this harddrive. The software is pretty uncomplicated to navigate, and once you have set up the jobs the backupsoftware does all the work once you press the "backupbutton" or press the "Execute"button in the software.

Performance - 4
The performance is certainly in the top end of the scale compared to the other harddrives i have tested on the USB 3.0 interface on my computer. It is also to be expected from this harddrive since it is Adatas flagship within the category USB 3.0 harddrives.

Price - 3
I do feel that the price of this unit has been set to a point just before critical, after all this is a harddrive with a capacity of only 500 GB. However in the name of fairness i will state that if you prefer style and elegance combined with the harddrives expression in stainless steel and given the fact, that this is at the moment the worlds thinnest USB 3.0 harddrive then it is certainly the extra money worth.
