Test: Sennheiser Momentum headset

Konklusion
 

Det har været en fornøjelse at teste Sennheisers MOMENTUM True Wireless headset. Rigtig god lyd og komfort i en lækker pakke og på trods af nogle mindre irritationsmomenter, har det været rigtigt lækkert at bruge. Headsettet henvender sig nok til den audiofile på farten og umiddelbart vil jeg sige at det opfylder den rolle, omend det også får udtryk når det kommer til prisen.


Innovation/Teknologi - 4
Sennheiser har fået proppet god lyd og nogle gode funktioner i en lille formfaktor, og det virker, for det meste.

Bundle/Tilbehør - 3
Der er lige hvad der skal være, godt med øre dutter og et lade kabel samt manualer. Jeg savner lidt en adapter til opladning.

Design/Layout - 5
Rigtigt flot og lækkert design, det skriger kvalitet for både headset og opbevarings boks. Jeg synes det er en rigtig lækker detalje med magneter i opbevaringsboksen så headsettet snapper på plads når man ligger det i boksen, samt at boksens åbning er lavet med fjederbelastet åbning, det virker rigtigt godt i praksis.

Software - 3
Jeg savner lidt flere muligheder for personliggørelse og tilpasning i softwaren, feks. hvis du er venstrehåndet kunne man jo vende controls om fra højre til venstre, hvis ikke man vil åbne op for fuld kontrol af genveje o.lign. med tryk på touch knapperne. Derudover virker den generelt lidt halvfærdig, f.eks. med manglende presets i equalizeren og problemer med oprettelse af forbindelse til headsettet.

Ydelse - 4
Rigtig lækker lyd og god komfort. Batteritiden er heller ikke til at klage over og lever snildt op til Sennheisers specifikationer med omkring 4 timer på en opladning plus ekstra i opbevarings boksen. Funktionerne i headsettet kunne dog godt virke bedre, f.eks. transparent hearing som ikke rigtigt virker på stemmer, men kun baggrundstøj, hvilket er upraktisk når headsettet faktisk er rigtig god til at lukke den omgivende lyd ude.

Pris - 2
Prisen for Sennheisers MOMENTUM True Wireless er på intet mindre end 2189 DKK, det er knap det dobbelte af hvad mange af alternativerne koster, f.eks. Jabras Elite Active 65t som vi også har testet. Kvaliteten og lyden er rigtig god, det bedste jeg har oplevet af et par in-ear headset, men man betaler også for det.

UK summary

It has been a pleasure to test the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless hedaset. Really good sound and comfort in a nice package, and despite minor irritations it has been very nice to use. The headset is probably for the audiophile on the go, and I would dare to say it fulfils that role, but that also shows when it comes to the price.

Sennheiser has stuffed good sound and a bunch of nice features into a small formfactor, and it works, for the most part.

Bundle/Accessories - 3
There is just what is needed, a bunch of ear-tips and a charger cable along with manuals. I do miss an adapter for charging though.

Design/Layout - 5
Really nice and sleek design that screams quality for both headset and charging case. I think it is a really nice detail with the magnets in the case, which makes the headset snap into place when it is put in the case. The case also have a spring loaded opening mechanism which works really well in practice.

Software - 3
I do miss some more options for customization and adaption in the software, e.g. if you are left handed you could want to switch controls around from right to left hand, if they do not want to open up for full control of shortcuts and such for the touch buttons. Apart from that, the software also seems a bit half baked with missing presets in the equalizer and problems connecting to the headset.

Performance - 4
Really nice sound and good comfort. The battery time is nothing to complain about either and easily lives up to Sennheisers specifications with about 4 hours on a single charge plus extra in the charging case. The features in the headset could work better, for example the transparent hearing does not really work with voices, but only background noise, which is impractical as the headset actually does a really good job at keeping outside sound out.

Price - 2
The price of the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless is nothing short of 2189 DKK, that is just short of double the price of many of the alternatives, for example the Jabra Elite Active 65t that we have tested as well. Quality and sound is good, the best I have ever heard from an in-ear headset, but you also pay a premium to get it.
