Konklusion & UK Summary

Som en konklusion på denne test af Asus P5LD2 Deluxe bundkortet, vil jeg da indlede med at sige, at Asus har leveret et meget komplet bundkort.



Der er alt det tilbehør man kan drømme om og lidt ekstra i form af WiFi udstyr, oven i købet til en rimelig pris. Står man står og skal vælge mellem P5WD2 kort og så kortet her til nogenlunde samme pris, ja så får man altså med kortet her en lille smule ringere ydelse, men til gengæld får man stort set de samme features og som bonus alt WiFi grejet.

I Innovation/Teknologi har jeg valgt at give kortet 4 på grund af de mange features og den komplette pakke kortet her optræder som.

I Bundle/Tilbehør får P5LD2 Deluxe kortet et lille 5-tal, da bundlen er imponerende og så medfølger der som bekendt WiFi kort med TV tuner, fjernbetjening og trådløst netkort.

I Design/Layout ligger Asus også meget flot med et 4 tal. Asus er altså bare førende på dette område og det er længe siden de har skuffet mig.

Software/BIOS er også af en fornuftig standard. Man kan selvfølgelig argumentere, at der jo medfølger lækkert software til WiFi kortet, men det bør der vel egentlig også. P5LD2 Deluxe napper et 3 tal her.

Ydelsen ligger ganske solidt, dog med en overbevisende grafikydelse. Jeg synes dog ikke, at kortet decideret udmærker sig, sammenlignet med andre kort, så det får også et 3 tal her.

I den sidste kategori, som er prisen, kan man argumentere for at 1600.- er mange penge for et "lillebror" bundkort baseret på 945 chipsettet, men kigger man på hvad der medfølger og hvad man evt. skal bruge på at få de samme features, hvis man skal købe stumperne hver for sig, så ender det faktisk op i at blive en meget rimelig pris for P5LD2 kortet her. Med baggrund i det, giver jeg her et 4 tal.

Slutteligt er der ikke meget andet at sige end, at hvis man leder efter et meget veludstyret bundkort med mulighed for at anvende alt hvad der eksisterer af Intel Pentium 4 processorer og samtidig få muligheden for at skabe en "rigtig" multimedie maskine, så er Asus P5LD2 Deluxe bundkortet et oplagt valg.

UK Conclusion

To conclude this review of the Asus P5LD2 Deluxe motherboard I must say that Asus has delivered a very complete package this time.



In the category innovation and Technology I have decided to give a 4 to the P5LD2 board based on its many features and the complete package.

For bundle and accessories the P5LD2 gets a small 5 for the impressive bundle and the WiFi card with onboard TV tuner, wireless LAN and the remote.

For design and layout the Asus board is in a nice position again with a 4. Asus is the market leader in this area and it has been a while since they have disappointed me.

The Software and BIOS category places the P5LD2 in the middle with a 3. One could argue that there is some nice software with the WiFi card, but then again, there should be, you are paying for it.

The performance is solid without being really impressive compared to other motherboards so the P5LD2 gets a 3 in this category.

In the final category, Price, one could argue that 1600 DKR is a lot of money for the "baby brother" motherboard, base don the 945 chipset, but if you look at the bundle and the kind of money that you need to spend for the same equipment separately this is actually a bargain. Based on this fact I give a 4 in this category.

In short, there are all the accessories that one could dream off and then off course there is the WiFi kit and all this at a very reasonable price. If you are to choose between the P5WD2 and the P5LD2 boards, evenly priced, you will with the P5LD2 get a little less performance but on the contrary you get the WiFi bonus.
