Specifikationer

Bundkortet har fået en Thunderbolt 3 port, der er kombineret med en USB 3.1 type C port. Thunderbolt 3 porten kan leverer op til 40 Gb/s hvilket er dobbelt så meget end tidligere generation 2 af porten.

 

Intel's USB 3.1 controller benytter sig af 4 PCIe 3.0 baner, hvilket betyder at controlleren kan klare helt op til 32 Gb/s. Det betyder at alle USB porte kan bruges på samme tid uden at controlleren kommer til at mangle båndbredde.

 

Som på GIGABYTEs tidligere Gaming bundkort ser vi en rigtig god lyddel der er afskærmet fra resten af bundkortet. Dette indebærer en quad-core Audio chip fra Creative samt et system hvor OP AMP kan skiftes hvis man ikke kan lide lyden fra den originale.

 

Gigabyte har valgt at gøre det muligt for forbrugeren at udskifte OP-AMP forvrængeren ligesom vi har set tidligere. Dette giver muligheden for at kunne få præcis den lyd man selv vil have.

 

Skulle man dog stadig have ønsket om at have en ekstern DAC, har Gigabyte lavet 2 USB 2.0 porte der leverer en meget ren strøm til DAC'en for at kunne levere et endnu bedre resultat.

 

Netkort skal selvfølgelig heller ikke mangle på et Gaming bundkort fra Gigabyte. Med i pakken følger der et WiFi/BlueTooth netkort og hele to Killer E2200 netkort.

 

Gigabyte skriver det faktisk ikke nogen steder på deres hjemmeside, men bundkortet har fået en PLX chip, specifikt en PEX 8747, der udvidder PCIe banerne helt op til 48. Den fungere ved konstant at skifte imellem de monterede grafikkort, og der kan derfor forekomme en højere end normal microstutter. Chippens forsinkelse mellem skift lægger dog helt nede på 100 nanosekunder, så det er ikke meget.

 

Bundkortet har fået to M.2 porte der benytter sig af hver 4 PCIe 3.0 baner, hvilket giver op til 32 Gb/s, hvilket giver mulighed for at benytte sig af Samsungs nye 950 Pro SSD'er uden at porten holder ydelsen tilbage.

Det er da et kønt bette kort, men efter at have set tilbehørslisten må jeg tilstå at der mangler et ekstra bundkort 😲 😲
