Even though we must point to the fact that the AM3 isn't really working aswell as it should along with DDR3, because of the BIOS not being properly finished, we'll still try to see if there's some performance to gain by raising the clockspeed of the memory modules. The two AM3 CPU's has been tested at their respective standard speeds in the following configuration:

Once more we must conclude that DDR3 doesn't make that big a difference, and this is probably quite a reasonable thing to do, assuming that it is the DDR3 memory being the root of the problem for the AM3 BIOS. A slight fluctuation of positive nature can be found in SiSoft Sandra's Memory Bandwidth benchmark, whereas there are none of significance to 1333 MHz and 1600 MHz in the not yet finished AM3 mainboard.
