Test: LG Nexus 5X Smartphone

Konklusion

LG's Nexus 5X viser os hvad det nye Android 6.0 kan præstere og dermed det nyeste fra Google. Nexus 5X er en lækker telefon, ikke for classy med sin plastik ramme, men alligevel hurtig og lækker at bruge. Jeg havde et par enkelte problemer med telefonens kanter, som jeg dog mistænker en produktionsfejl, ikke desto mindre er der i hvert fald et problem, enten i produktionen, kvalitetskontrollen eller måske endda i designet. Alt i alt en lækker telefon, og jeg glæder mig endnu mere til Android 6.0 kommer til min telefon.

Innovation/Teknologi - 5
Nyeste version af Android, nye features som fingeraftryksscanner, nyt kamera og Android pay samt den nyeste generation af Snapdragon processorer, det er vidst meget passende med en høj score her.

Bundle/Tilbehør - 2
En lader, manualer og et SIM-værktøj giver ikke den store score her, der er hvad der skal bruges, men heller ikke mere end det.

Design/Layout - 3
Personligt kan jeg rigtigt godt lide designet på Nexus 5X, god størrelse, let vægt og plastik generer ikke, i hvert fald så længe det ikke knirker eller gir sig, hvilket det bestemt ikke gør her. Det er dog en ommer at der er skarpe kanter der kan være ubehagelige når man sidder med telefonen, det vil man nok kunne få telefonen ombyttet for, men ikke desto mindre.

Software - 5
Google natural, Android 6.0, der er en masse nye features at byde på i forhold til tidligere versioner af Android, og selvom det nok ikke bliver unikt til netop Nexus 5X fortjener det en god score her. En af de rigtig gode ting er at alle features føles rigtigt godt integreret, nok netop fordi det er en del af systemet.

Ydelse - 3
Ydelsen er ganske udemærkedet for Nexus 5X, telefonen kan ikke helt følge med Samsungs Galaxy S6, men i forhold til sidste års store drenge er der ingen problemer. Når man sidder med telefonen i hånden er der dog nogen optimeringsproblemer, især med multitasking kan telefonen godt blive lidt langsom i nogle apps.

Pris - 4
Telefonen ligger med en pris på 3325 DKK i den lidt lavere ende af pris skalaen for en nyudgivet telefon med fornuftige specificationer. Der er dog billigere alternativer som f.eks. One Plus Two som kan erhverves til 2999 DKK med endnu bedre specifikationer, dog uden Googles kærlighed. Men det er bestemt ikke nogen dårlig pris for LG's Nexus 5X.

UK summary

LG's Nexus 5X shows us what the new Android 6.0 can do and with that the newest from Google. Nexus 5X is a really nice phone, not too classy with its plastic frame, but still fast and nice to use. I had a couple of problems with the phones edges which I think a production error is to blame, but none the less it is still a problem, either in production, quality control or maybe even in the design. All in all a nice phone and I am looking forward to Android 6.0 arrives to my phone even more now.

Innovation/Technology - 5
Newest version of Android, new features as fingerprint scanner, new camera and Android pay along with the newest generation of Snapdragon processors, I think a high score is due here.

Bundle/Accessories - 2
A charger, manuals and a SIM-tool does not give a high score here, there is what you need but no more than that.

Design/Layout - 3
Personally I really like the design of Nexus 5X, good size, light weight and plastic does not bother me, not as long that it does not squek or bend at least, which it definitely does not on this phone. The sharp edges that can be uncomfortable when holding the phone are not acceptable however, and would probably also warrant a replacement phone, but none the less.

Software - 5
Google natural, Android 6.0, there is a lot of new features compared to earlier versions of Android and even though it will probably not be unique to Nexus 5X it warrants a good score. One of the things I really like is the fact that all features feels well integrated, probably because of them actually being part of the system.

Performance - 3
Performance on the Nexus 5X is pretty good, the phone cannot really follow up with Samsungs Galaxy S6, but when compared to last years big shots there are no problems. When using the phone you can feel that there are some optimisations problems however, especially with multitasking some apps can feel slow at times.

Price - 4
With a price of 3325 DKK we are in the lower end of the price scale when looking at new phones with good specifications. There are some cheaper alternatives though, fx. the One Plus Two which can be bought for 2999 DKK with even better specifications but without Googles love of course. But this is definitely not a bad price for LG's Nexus 5X.
