3-tal gives.
Ydelse - 4
4-tal gives.
Pris - 3

hereUK summary
New wine, in old bottles?
The last fourteen days, I have been using Shuttle's new baby. XPC SG45H7 Glamor Series is yet another product amongst a fine line of excellent solutions, for the more demanding user. Those who, at the same time, appreciates great design and user friendly products. As usual, one can't get along without atleast some knowledge in how to assemble a computer. Yet I do belive, that most people either know someone who knows something about hardware, or have the knowledge themself. SG45H7 is based on Intel's G45 chipset and thus gives the user access to the GMA X4500HD graphics solution. A real Homer Simpson "d'Oh!" is, that one can't use the integrated graphics, while occupying the PCI-e slot.
In general I have to admit, that once more I am very impressed by Shuttle's ability to incorporate new features in well-known designs. The 16 GB of RAM limit is certainly on my pro list and also the full support for 45 nm based Intel CPU's. All in all, yet another recommendable product from Shuttle, if you are into 'that'.
Innovation/Technology - 3
New chipset, 16 GB of RAM, GMA X4500HD, 45 nm full support, HDMI, 1080p and inactive integrated graphics while using the PCI-e?! 3 is given.
Bundle/Accessories - 3
The usual stuff. Cables, CD containing drivers, screws, thermal paste and a short HDMI-> DVI cable. The last one had to be expected. 3 is given.
Design/Layout - 4
I could almost just copy-paste from my previous reviews, regarding Shuttle products. But once again, I have to confess that I am into 'that'. Shuttle's XPC will always be a "must have" to this reviewer. 4 is given.
Software/BIOS - 3
Drivers are bundled, and there is a BIOS. Both of them work and there is nothing "extra" ind the bag. 3 is given.
Performance - 4
Performance depends on which combination of hardware one uses. Though I do feel, that the performance of GMA X4500HD has to be recognized. The same applies for the PSU (also the cooling in general) that falls into the group of the most silent components. Not noiseless, but quiet. A BIOS that is easy to navigate, it just looks like everything else and the drivers are - as far as possible, fully updated. 4 is given.
Price - 3
For just about DKK 3.000,- one could buy the Shuttle XPC SG45H7. That's a very common price for one Shuttle's solutions. The final price varies, depending on which hardware you put in there. I can't see myself justifying more than a 3 here. The price is fair, og you really don't get more than you pay for. Fingerprint reader, W-LAN module, BlueTooth etc. could maybe pull a 4. But a common 3 is all it could be.
