Conclusion:
As the bright reader already have noticed , I am very happy with this card.Both in price and performance it gets topmarks and the only real issue is the bundle( that more than often is directly linked to the price).All we really can say that this card is exellent all the way.
Innovasion/Technology: 3
Not much innovasion has made it into G92, it is ofcourse 65nm,but it has no features incorporated that not already are present in G80.
Bundle and accessories: 3
As i said earlier the bundle for this card is very limited, you do get a few different adapters,drivercds and thats that. Thats not quite good enough, only adding the mostly needed.On the other hand you should not rate this part of the category too high..especially if you are the type that rips up the box and inserts the card into your pc with paying attention to what else are in the box.
Design and Layout: 4
The card is singleslot,and the cooler is very good.It does not make any noise in idle mode and in the benchmark tests i did it never really came up to peak performance.
Only drawback is that the card is very long,but i had no trouble in getting it into my standard ATX cabinet.
Software/Bios: 3
I had no trouble with the driver for the card, and since there are only 2 real graphicscard manufacturers( the other being ATI ofcourse).I will give the card a 3,because i dont feel that one driver is superior to the other.
Performance: 5
Performance is by far the best on this particular model. The performance is very clear from this card and down to the 8800GTS series,that alot of people have in their pcs at the moment. I dont hesitate by giving it a clear 5, eventhough there are cards on the market faster than this but they are in a completely different price range.
Price: 5
Since the 8800GT cards are not yet available in the shops,its kinda difficult to predict what the price are going to be, my guess would be approx 1800DKK for a standard 8800GT and 2000DKK for this Zotec 8800GT Amp card. Highend performance for small funds.
