Test: Zotac 8800GT UK

Let me be completely honest here, when i first did open the box i was slighty dissapointed. The card was long,cooler was petite and the fan seems like running at very high rate of revs.

 

But after the card was inserted into our test machine all my reservations about this product was out the window instantly.Ok so the card is a little bit on the long side, and the cooler is small, but the card is still completely silent.

 

Taking a step back to analyze the cooler itself,then we dont see any heat pipes pointing out anywhere at all. But i still have a sense of them lurking just beneath the surface. That said its just normal standard enlongated aluminum cooler,with a 60mm radial fan to push the air through the cooler. Also worth mentioning is that the cooler is single-slot as to compared to other 8800GTS and GTX cards. Alas not taking 2 slots in the computer.

I should also mention that the PCI-E power outlet is placed on the side instead of the top.That might give some people with smaller cabinets some problems.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And an added bonus from Zotac…they have added some extra LEDs next to the fan.I noticed that parts of the card was more illuminted..NICE WORK ZOTEC..   It is absolutely the first time i have ever posted a picture on the inside of my cabinet - and i hope that you all can see through the dust.

 

It has dual DVI outlet,and a SVHS outlet that works like a component outlet with the adapter that are included as well.
